Over the past few weeks, we’ve received numerous reports concerning the increased use of Uber to transport crews in our area. These issues are not limited to our General Committee, this is a system-wide problem.
To effectively address these concerns with the carrier, the BLET General Chairmen have developed a new reporting system to gather accurate, real-time data from the field.
In addition, we are collecting data related to EMS. While engineers are required to report this information to UP, that data is not shared with us, making it difficult to hold the carrier accountable.
Attached are flyers to be posted on Union Boards and websites. These flyers include links for engineers to submit the necessary information. Once submitted, both the General Committee and the reporting engineer will receive a confirmation email, and the data will be stored in a format we can utilize.
